Which Lay-Z-Spa is right for you?

An honest side-by-side of every Lay-Z-Spa we stock. Capacity, jets, water volume, insulation, running cost estimates, and what each model is genuinely best at. No marketing speak — just the numbers and our take.

The four families

Lay-Z-Spa's current line-up splits cleanly into four groups. Understanding these first makes the specific-model comparison below much easier to interpret.

Lay-Z-Spa Helsinki standard inflatable hot tub with wood-effect exterior
Standard Inflatable

The classic Lay-Z-Spa

The models that built Lay-Z-Spa's reputation. Inflatable triple-ply TriTech walls, AirJet massage system, DuraPlus insulated cover. Quickest to set up, easiest to pack away, most affordable to buy — but the highest running cost of the four families.

Lay-Z-Spa Tuscany EnergySense hot tub with integrated thermal insulation
EnergySense · Up to 58% more efficient

Inflatable with integrated insulation

Same convenience as a standard inflatable but with a synthetic thermal barrier built into the TriTech liner. Up to 58% more energy efficient than a regular inflatable, which typically halves the daily running cost. The Tuscany also features an UltraFit pump built into the wall — no external control box.

Lay-Z-Spa Toronto ThermaCore foam-walled hot tub in villa garden
ThermaCore · Up to 63% more efficient

Rigid foam-walled hot tubs

The most energy-efficient hot tubs in the Lay-Z-Spa range. Instead of inflatable walls, rigid ThermaCore foam panels slot into a triple-ply outer liner, creating a continuous thermal barrier around the water. Independently TÜV Rheinland verified as up to 63% more efficient than a standard inflatable. Combined with a thermal cover, up to 80% more efficient.

Lay-Z-Spa Maldives HydroJet Pro at night with blue LED lights
HydroJet Pro · Premium massage

The full hydromassage experience

Lay-Z-Spa's premium range. In addition to AirJet bubbles, HydroJet Pro models add directional HydroJets that circulate warm water for targeted massage — much closer to a hard-shell spa experience. Most feature ChromaTherapy LED lighting, built-in seats, and EnergySense insulation. The Maldives is Good Housekeeping Approved.

Which one suits you?

Rather than pick a "winner", here's the honest answer for the most common situations we're asked about.

01

First hot tub, weekend use

You want to try a hot tub without a big commitment. Summer use mostly, packed away in winter. You want the classic experience without maximum efficiency.

Helsinki AirJet Classic, popular, well-priced, easy to store.
02

Year-round, keep running costs low

You want the tub outside all year. Winter soaks are the point. You're keeping an eye on energy bills. Insulation matters more than size.

Toronto AirJet Independently verified 63% more efficient. Runs at ~£20/month.
03

Big family or entertaining

Six or more adults regularly. Kids, grandkids, dinner-party spillover. You need room without paying premium hydromassage prices.

Grenada AirJet Largest capacity (6–8 person) with 190 AirJets. Party-sized.

About Tub Care

We'll tell you what not to buy.

Tub Care sells and sets up Lay-Z-Spa hot tubs across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. No hard sell, no jargon, and no pretending every tub is right for every garden.

The honest bit

New to selling. Not new to hot tubs.

Tub Care is the retail side of a local hot tub team. We're a young shop, and we'd rather say so than dress it up — but the people behind it have been looking after hot tubs in the South West for a good while.

We also run Devon and Cornwall Hot Tub Cleaning, an established cleaning and servicing business covering the same three counties. That's where the advice comes from: when you've cleaned and serviced enough tubs, you learn which ones hold up, which gardens cause grief, and which "must-have" extras you can quite happily skip.

So when we recommend a tub — or talk you out of one — it's grounded in what we actually see out on the job, not what a brochure wants you to believe.

In partnership with

Devon and Cornwall Hot Tub Cleaning

Our sister business — the established local service that cleans, services and looks after hot tubs across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. Same people, same standards. It means that when you buy from Tub Care, there's already a proper local team behind your tub for the years that follow, not just the day it's delivered.

What we actually do

Sold properly. Set up properly.

i.

Sell Lay-Z-Spa hot tubs

A focused range of inflatable hot tubs, with straight answers about which one suits your space, your people and your budget.

ii.

Free set-up, not "free delivery"

We bring it, position it where you want it, and get it running — across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. Not dropped at the kerb and left for you.

iii.

Honest advice, before and after

We'll flag the things a sales page won't: tricky access, running costs, and the upgrades that genuinely aren't worth it for you.

Our promise

Things you'll never get from us.

  • We won't push the biggest tub if a smaller one suits you better.
  • We won't call delivery "free" then charge for set-up — set-up's included.
  • We won't invent a fake deadline or a countdown to rush your decision.
  • We won't disappear after delivery — there's a real local team behind it.
Where you stand

Clear terms. No small print games.

Your right to return

Returns handled in line with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and Consumer Rights Act 2015. The full policy is on our returns page.

Manufacturer warranty

Hot tubs carry their Lay-Z-Spa manufacturer warranty, handled directly with Lay-Z-Spa so you deal with the people who made it.
